Things I did in Busan

I only spent a night and two days in Busan, but I think that I managed to do quite a bit. I know that I didn’t get to see all the city had to offer, but I’m glad with what I did get to see:

  • Saw a wedding. This was the reason I went down to Busan in the first place anyway. It was only my second wedding that I’ve attended in Korea, and I still think it’s such a weird experience. I will probably never be able to get over how fast they are.
  • Visited a hospital.
  • Played for a little bit on the beach. Luckily, the weather was awesome the whole time we were down there. Our hotel was right at 광안리, but I also got to see 해운대.
  • I got drunk and went karaoke, which isn’t very different from what I do in Bucheon. I also saw the night life down around 해운대, although I was pretty drunk at that point and I didn’t do much.
  • Saw 박혜일.  Apparently he’s a famous movie actor that was down there for the Busan International Film Festival.  I didn’t know who he was, but he was sitting two tables away from us.  I wouldn’t have known it was a celebrity except for a mob of girls that started screaming for him.
  • I ate Mexican food at the Fuzzy Navel. It was pretty good and Mexican food is always nice to have in Korea.
  • Visited the huge Shinsegae Department Store. I spent a lot of my time at the book store, but I didn’t buy anything. I was surprised that there was a ice skating rink, but I probably shouldn’t be. It is Korea, after all.

Anyway, I am sure I’ll be making another trip some time. I’m not sure when, but hopefully I’ll get to spend more time there next time.
